Christmas Season in Monograms

I would like to give a HUGE  than you to Marleylilly for making this post possible! My adorable (& cozy) monogrammed vest, and my silver monogrammed necklace, are both from them. The vest is so perfect for this weather, and monogram necklaces are always a crucial staple. Besides these products, Marleylilly has so many other adorable clothing items and accessories available on their website... And all of them are monogrammed! I'm pretty sure it doesn't get much better than that. They're currently doing free earrings with any purchase, take advantage!
So, to get in the Christmas spirit, I decided that shooting at a Christmas tree farm would be only right. When we pulled up they asked if we wanted to cut down our own tree, or if we wanted to buy a pre-cut, and, well we drew a blank on excuses. So we told them we didn't know, and that we would look around.... AKA take some pictures in the midst of their ginormous field of Christmas trees. So, this post is the result of a little adventure to a Christmas tree farm, and the wonderful people at Marleylilly. Enjoy! :)

Marley Lilly Blanket Scarf

Hello everyone! Apologies for my absence, I've had such a busy few weeks. I did some shooting today, and I'm excited for this post, and a few others to be up ASAP!
This was my "Thanksgiving with the grandparents" outfit. Lol. But in all seriousness, I was so blessed to have an amazing Thanksgiving. I woke up early and ran 5 miles in the Turkey Trot in downtown Columbus. Probably the beginning of a tradition, because I LOVED it! Of course, running isn't always the most fun, but the atmosphere, and the feeling of accomplishment won me over. 12/10 would recommend as a turkey day ritual. After that I had some down time, so I got to watch the Macy's Day Parade (another awesome tradition), and then headed to my grandparents house.
I am wearing this grey sweater dress from my week of outfits post, my favorite riding boots, and this Marley Lilly Blanket scarf. This scarf was on sale during Marley Lilly's black Friday sale, with any $100 purchase. Although the exact scarf isn't going for the same deal anymore, surprise! They still have blanket scarfs on their website, and guess what? You can add a monogram! Blanket Scarves just got that much better. Right?!
All of my clothes are linked below, as well as the link to the monogrammed blanket scarves by Marley Lilly. Comment/tag me (instagram: @adriennecaroline) and tell me how you style your blanket scarf! And if you don't already have one (or maybe just want to start a collection) visit marleylilly.com and treat yourself! :)

Gameday OSU Style

This past weekend was my very last home football game for Ohio State, before I go away to college next year. It was bittersweet to say the least. Since Ohio State has been such a big part of my life growing up, I figured I had to do a little post about it. If you have never been to an Ohio State game, or even a big 10 game for that mater, I would highly recommend it. They have a great atmosphere, great food, and even better school spirit. I've loved every football game this season (even though we lost to Michigan State! ): ) and I can't wait for basketball season to start!

These leggings are my new favorite. I have them in maroon, and in black. They're perfect for running, casual outings, and of course sports games! My favorite sportswear ever; Lululemon; made them, therefore they're the best out there. Highly recommend a pair of Lulu leggings, even if you're not big into working out.

These Hunters are perfect for showing off the mesh in my leggings!

What's gameday without a tattoo?

Denim for Autumn

 It's official, we've had the prettiest fall EVER up north! I couldn't resist a photo shoot in honor of the amazing colors, and my favorite seasonal transition of the year. Autumn colors are gone so fast, and often taken for granted. I'm so lucky to live in a state that has consistently gorgeous changing seasons, every year!
If you recognize this skirt, I wore it in my Week of Outfits post. I switched out my boots for a pair of flats, and threw on one of my favorite (and wallet-friendly!) blanket scarves. There are lots of different ways to tie a blanket scarf; I did the traditional scarf tie, but realistically with this outfit I could've used any strategy for displaying my scarf. One of my favorite bloggers has an awesome post on 10 different ways to tie a blanket scarf -- super helpful!

3 Enpowering Women & What We Can Learn From Them

Emma Watson//
{via}
Emma shows us how to be confident. She teaches us to believe in womanhood and all the potential we have. Emma made an amazing speech to the UN (and was appointed a UN Ambassador) about the launch of the HeForShe campaign in 2014. Buzzfeed also has an article all about her best quotes. It's a must read. On top of all this she is a college graduate, annnnnd starred in the Harry Potter movies. Definitely goals.

Marilyn Monroe//
{via}

From Marilyn, we learn a little bit about acceptance, especially of ourselves. Between all of the norms of society and the expectations from the media, we don't learn this lesson the way we should anymore. Marilyn wasn't afraid to make a statement, and because she was confident, she became a beauty icon for ages to come. Body confidence is not about being a size zero, or even not being a size zero. Body confidence is about acceptance of self, and the way we spread this acceptance to others.

Tory Burch//
{via}

Tory teaches us all about hard work and passion. We all know Tory Burch; we know the shoes, the clothes, the wonderful accessories all covered with her logo. What most people don't know is that the woman behind the company spent so many hours learning the trade, slaving over her work, and has built up her company from 20 employees working out of her kitchen, to the name she has now with over 3,000 employees. In this article, you can read a little bit more about what Tory has done to get to where she is, and why we should all follow her model for success.

Topshop & Hydrangeas

Well, my local Nordstroms recently added a Topshop department... This is the aftermath. I recently bought this romper and was inspire by this picture of Vanessa Hudgens to add a hat! Black isn't a very "me" color. I'd like to think of myself as more of the print fun Lilly print type. Well, I was wrong. At least partly wrong... I LOVED wearing this romper! It was so fun and flattering. It's definitely able to be styled in different ways, and fits into my recent love of off the shoulder pieces.
I wore this outfit to a concert I attended in downtown Columbus, and that's why these pictures are in the cutest possible green space ever! Love finding little spaces for photo shoots in the city!

ENJOY! :)

LOVE the sleeves on this romper.

Hi my name is Adrienne and I'm now addicted to midi-rings. :)

A Week of Outfits

Hi everyone! This past week was especially fun for me, since I was able to dress myself for school. Since that sounds pretty strange, I'll explain myself. I go to a high school that requires the students attending to wear a uniform. *Ahhhhhhh* Very understandable now.
Anyways, as I was getting dressed this week I thought to myself, I really should blog about these outfits... Knowing that getting up an hour early for blog pictures would not look good on camera (puffy, tired eyes and a half asleep smile are not flattering), and that my hair and makeup weren't resistant enough to last the stress of a school day, I decided to take just one simple mirror picture every morning (after coffee, of course).
You will definitely see these outfits in the future as full posts, but for now, here is a little snippet of my week -- style wise!

Day One:
Favorite piece: I LOVE this dress. It is so comfortable and the color gives me fall vibes, explaining why I broke out the riding boots a little early -- I couldn't resist!

Day Two:
 Favorite piece: These sweats are legendary. Joggers are so in style right now, and you can get them anywhere for a decent price. Trendy & comfy win the race!

Day Three:
dress(similar)//shoes

Favorite Piece: Casual dresses are such an awesome wardrobe staple. This T-shirt dress is a light sweater material, and therefore is perfect for that awkward phase between summer/fall weather. Definitely a favorite -- I got lots of 'Where did you get that?' s when I wore this piece!

Day Four:

 Favorite Piece: This TopShop Jean skirt is a must have. I love how flattering it is, and how well it works with basically any top you could imagine. Side Note: Honorable Mention goes to this precious striped headband with little pineapples on it. The.Cutest.Ever.

Day Five:

Dress//Necklace (via Rocksbox)//Shoes(similar)
Favorite Piece: SHOES! I've been in love with flats that have ankle straps since the beginning of summer, and haven't purchased a pair until just recently. I think that the bows really called out to me when I glanced their way while scavenging Nordstrom Rack.

Sundresses and Ice Cream Cones

 Hi everyone! Today's post has my two very favorite things -- ice cream and dresses! I recently got to explore The Velvet Ice Cream Factory, and took some pictures along the way. If you're ever roaming through Ithaca, Ohio (very random, I know) then stop by to explore and have some ice cream. I would definitely recommend.
My dress is from a boutique in one of my all time favorite place, Charleston, SC. I got it (along with lots of other things... oops) at Willy Jay's on King St. during my last trip down south. My (homemade) navy and pink tassel bracelets fit perfectly with my dress, and so did my trusty target shoes that I wear religiously! I paired this dress with my bralette from Free People, which I have also been wearing on repeat lately. Bralette's are totally in style right now, and if you want to read a little more about them, you can check out my post on The Undeniable Report. I was recently asked to write for them, and although this is only my first post I am already loving it! Definitely a must read website, stay tuned for new posts every day!
