Marley Lilly Blanket Scarf

Hello everyone! Apologies for my absence, I've had such a busy few weeks. I did some shooting today, and I'm excited for this post, and a few others to be up ASAP!
This was my "Thanksgiving with the grandparents" outfit. Lol. But in all seriousness, I was so blessed to have an amazing Thanksgiving. I woke up early and ran 5 miles in the Turkey Trot in downtown Columbus. Probably the beginning of a tradition, because I LOVED it! Of course, running isn't always the most fun, but the atmosphere, and the feeling of accomplishment won me over. 12/10 would recommend as a turkey day ritual. After that I had some down time, so I got to watch the Macy's Day Parade (another awesome tradition), and then headed to my grandparents house.
I am wearing this grey sweater dress from my week of outfits post, my favorite riding boots, and this Marley Lilly Blanket scarf. This scarf was on sale during Marley Lilly's black Friday sale, with any $100 purchase. Although the exact scarf isn't going for the same deal anymore, surprise! They still have blanket scarfs on their website, and guess what? You can add a monogram! Blanket Scarves just got that much better. Right?!
All of my clothes are linked below, as well as the link to the monogrammed blanket scarves by Marley Lilly. Comment/tag me (instagram: @adriennecaroline) and tell me how you style your blanket scarf! And if you don't already have one (or maybe just want to start a collection) visit marleylilly.com and treat yourself! :)

Gameday OSU Style

This past weekend was my very last home football game for Ohio State, before I go away to college next year. It was bittersweet to say the least. Since Ohio State has been such a big part of my life growing up, I figured I had to do a little post about it. If you have never been to an Ohio State game, or even a big 10 game for that mater, I would highly recommend it. They have a great atmosphere, great food, and even better school spirit. I've loved every football game this season (even though we lost to Michigan State! ): ) and I can't wait for basketball season to start!

These leggings are my new favorite. I have them in maroon, and in black. They're perfect for running, casual outings, and of course sports games! My favorite sportswear ever; Lululemon; made them, therefore they're the best out there. Highly recommend a pair of Lulu leggings, even if you're not big into working out.

These Hunters are perfect for showing off the mesh in my leggings!

What's gameday without a tattoo?

Denim for Autumn

It's official, we've had the prettiest fall EVER up north! I couldn't resist a photo shoot in honor of the amazing colors, and my favorite seasonal transition of the year. Autumn colors are gone so fast, and often taken for granted. I'm so lucky to live in a state that has consistently gorgeous changing seasons, every year!
If you recognize this skirt, I wore it in my Week of Outfits post. I switched out my boots for a pair of flats, and threw on one of my favorite (and wallet-friendly!) blanket scarves. There are lots of different ways to tie a blanket scarf; I did the traditional scarf tie, but realistically with this outfit I could've used any strategy for displaying my scarf. One of my favorite bloggers has an awesome post on 10 different ways to tie a blanket scarf -- super helpful!

3 Enpowering Women & What We Can Learn From Them

Emma Watson//
{via}
Emma shows us how to be confident. She teaches us to believe in womanhood and all the potential we have. Emma made an amazing speech to the UN (and was appointed a UN Ambassador) about the launch of the HeForShe campaign in 2014. Buzzfeed also has an article all about her best quotes. It's a must read. On top of all this she is a college graduate, annnnnd starred in the Harry Potter movies. Definitely goals.

Marilyn Monroe//

From Marilyn, we learn a little bit about acceptance, especially of ourselves. Between all of the norms of society and the expectations from the media, we don't learn this lesson the way we should anymore. Marilyn wasn't afraid to make a statement, and because she was confident, she became a beauty icon for ages to come. Body confidence is not about being a size zero, or even not being a size zero. Body confidence is about acceptance of self, and the way we spread this acceptance to others.

Tory Burch//

Tory teaches us all about hard work and passion. We all know Tory Burch; we know the shoes, the clothes, the wonderful accessories all covered with her logo. What most people don't know is that the woman behind the company spent so many hours learning the trade, slaving over her work, and has built up her company from 20 employees working out of her kitchen, to the name she has now with over 3,000 employees. In this article, you can read a little bit more about what Tory has done to get to where she is, and why we should all follow her model for success.
